Every article starts with actual research — official data, real specs, and verified sources. We don’t publish until we’re confident in what we’re saying.
Plain language
We write for real people, not search engines. If a 12-year-old and a 50-year-old can both understand the article, we’ve done our job.
Honest opinions
If a product isn’t worth buying or a show isn’t worth watching, we say so. We have no interest in recommending things we wouldn’t use ourselves.
Kept up to date
Streaming rankings change. Products get discontinued. We update our articles when the facts change so you’re never reading outdated information.
A note on how we make money
HiOct.com is a free website. To keep it running, we use two things: Google AdSense (ads that appear on our pages) and affiliate links — primarily through the Amazon Associates program. This means if you click a product link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
